On Tuesday of last week, Salesforce announced a definitive agreement to acquire collaboration app company Slack for $27.7 billion. Yes, that’s $27.7 billion! If approved and consummated, the acquisition would be the largest of over 60 in Salesforce’s history.

These two cloud computing giants are the two fastest-growing companies in the massive cloud computing/Software-as-a-Service market segment.
