A record-setting Cyber Monday saw mobile sales rocket to their first $2 billion day, according to Adobe Analytics. Seeing these numbers, it looks like retailers who haven’t yet embraced mobile are about to be left behind. Also reported was the fact that “Smartphones have become the de facto device for mobile shopping, while tablets continue to be more used as entertainment and gaming devices,” according to a statement to Business Insider from Taylor Schreiner, head of Adobe Digital Insights via email.

This is the way of the world in retail and it looks like it is not going to change anytime soon. Just as interesting was the fact that the reports showed that mobile sales are not just for the big retailers. In fact, smaller retailers (those with revenue under $10 million) look like they are benefiting from this trend as well showing a 30% greater chance of shoppers clicking on the “buy button” than their larger competitors according to the Adobe Analytics report.
